Hi! My name is Zayd. I’m a student of SK USJ 20 in Subang Jaya and I’m taking UPSR this year.

I love to go on school trips. The last school trip I went on was in December 2009 just after school closed for the holidays. That was a great trip.

First of all, all my friends joined the excursion to Menara Kuala Lumpur, Orchid Garden and the best of all… Aquaria which was on Saturday 19 November 2009.

By 8.00 am, my friends and I were already waiting at the school for the buses. My teachers were there and more parents were sending their kids to the school.

Soon, we were all packing into the buses. I was so excited. When the bus was about to leave, I rushed to the window to wave my mom goodbye.

Off we went. The bus was soooo noisy I couldn’t hear myself talk. I usually get car-sick but not that day. We arrived at Menara Kuala Lumpur at around 9.30am. Menara Kuala Lumpur is so tall that I nearly fell backwards trying to look at it. We all took turns to go into the lift. It was a really long way up… When we arrived at the top, we were taken to the balcony and I got to look through the telescope. I saw all the small cars and lorries, the buildings far away, even the surrounding hills and mountains. Wow! The cars looked like ants.

After breakfast, off we went to Aquaria. The best part of Aquaria for me was the glass tunnel. It was like I was in the huge aquarium. Huge fish were swimming above and all around us. It was quite creepy, but in a fantastic fun way. There were sharks, manta-rays, eels and even small tiny little fish. The aquarium is so colourful and beautiful. I wish I could be one of the scuba divers who were feeding the fish.

Our last place to visit was the Orchid Garden. It is located near the Kuala Lumpur Bird Park in Lake Gardens. It was okay, I’m not so into flowers. But the place was cool and fresh. By that time, I was getting pretty tired anyway. After another snack in the gardens, we all filed into the buses and headed home.

It was really fun….

Hi, my name is Umar Muhammad. I am 12 years old. I am a student of SK Seri Bintang Utara (SKSBU). My school is located at Taman Shamelin Perkasa, Cheras. Everyday, I wake up at 6:00 am and look forward to go to school because there are lots of things I can do in school. I normally have breakfast packed by mom in the car because we rush to beat the traffic and I want to be early to meet up with my friends before the school assembles at 7:20 am.

All students are required to sing the National Anthem and school song during assembly session in the morning. Then, we go to our class. We have 6 subjects lesson a day. We learn, read, write, draw and talk to each other as a group with the teacher guidance. We have a quick bite at the school canteen with varieties such as nasi lemak, fried kuey teow, roti canai, curry noodles and others during break-time from 9:00 am to 9:30am. I love an art subject which I can draw and paint beautiful pictures and be more creative on the project given just to compete among my friend and to please the teacher.

It is important for me to complete my final year to ensure I finish my primary school successfully. I will put all my effort to listen carefully, concentrate and focus my study in class to score straight 5As for the forthcoming UPSR. The school has arranged extra classes after school for Year 6 starts from 1:30 to 3:30 pm every Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday. The purpose is to help the student to achieve a good result for UPSR. By year-end, the school will organize an Award Ceremony Day to honor student’s academic and appreciate the acknowledgement of our hard work. This help to recognize our great effort and achievement.
