Meet Coach Fladimir Lima Souza, Coach Romao (Roberto Bragang Romao) from Brazil and Coach Mohan (from Malaysia). Three of them, and Head Coach Lamartine Da Silva drilled 34 boys for three days and two nights at the Outbac Centre in Broga Negeri Sembilan early December. Where? Yep, you may think that Broga is like on another planet, but it’s a beautiful valley just near Semenyih. Surrounded by hills, the Outbac camp has great views and cool weather.

It was in this camp that 34 boys aged from 6 years to 17 spent three days and two nights roughing it out and having great fun! Barbeques, Broga Hill climb at 5.30am, flying fox, kayaking, games, quizzes and a whole lot of football training and tournaments were some of the activities at the camp.

Watch the video to find out how much fun the boys and coaches had at this football camp.

Catch what Head Coach Lamartine had to say about the camp, too.

At the end of the camp, all the boys, coaches and assistants gathered in the hall. Here, all the marks were tallied, and one more quiz was played before the prizes were given out. Here are the questions! Let’s see if your football knowledge is good..

Avatar Dubbed Best Movie of Decade

Tuesday, December 22nd, 2009 | 530 views

avatar21

In the mid-22nd century, America is still waging wars against its enemies. This time, they have run out of wars on Earth and have traveled across the universe to the planet Pandora. The quest? To retrieve large amounts of ‘unobtainium’, a priceless element that can cause more destruction. The army has landed and carved out a horrendous base camp with machines the size of the moon. Here, troops are amassed and prepare to take on the Na’vi people, natives of Pandora. Cat-like, long-limbed, and blue, the Na’vi people live in a massive, gigantic tree growing right on top of the unobtainium deposit.

To peacefully persuade the Na’vi to leave their hometree, scientists utilize the Avatar technology to transport their ‘consciousness’ into artificially created Na’vi bodies. Their purpose is to walk among the real natives and get to know them, before asking the natives to leave their home. Hmm….. doesn’t sound like that’s possible, right?

Wheelchair-bound soldier Jake Sully, Dr Grace Augustine and others become Na’vi . Jake gets lost and separated from his colleagues, and is rescued by Neytiri, the Na’vi chief’s daughter. To prove his ‘sincerity’, he is tasked by the chief to train as a Na’vi, learn their language, their ways, and many other things….

OK, that’s it. You seriously have to go watch this movie. It is the best movie in this decade, some say.

More reviews:
A Video-Game Simple Hero: James Cameron, (the director and writer) ever the romantic and sceptic of corporate power, presents in Avatar a love story intermingled with a morally clear struggle between those who would spoil a paradise and those who would not. It’s seldom unclear who it is we should be rooting for, even though it is doubly awkward, watching this movie in the US, to realise early that the bad guys are not just the humans but those types of humans who would both violently shove native peoples from their lands but invoke a “shock and awe” military campaign in the interest of securing access to a foreign land’s natural resources.
