The chocolate-powered race car, WorldFirst F3
Real efforts to minimize demand on earth’s resources has resulted in a new race car that speeds on chocolate. The first prototype of the bio-diesel WorldFirst F3 car was designed and built by a car research centre for only 220,000 dollars. The team of researchers wanted to prove to the racing industry that it was possible to build a fast car using environmentally sustainable components. And some of the components come from the unlikeliest places. The car has a biodiesel engine which runs on vegetable oil and fuel from waste chocolate. Green credentials are further enhanced by a radiator that reduces the spread of ground-level ozone. Other ‘green’ elements include the soya bean seat.
Nonetheless, with initial interest stirred by the car’s public appearance - later this month it will hit the track at Britain’s Goodwood Festival of Speed - and the fact the vehicle is 95 percent biodegradable the research team are now out to show the world that a chocolate-and-carrots-flavoured future has arrived.

Brazil claimed the FIFA Confederations Cup trophy, it’s third in this championship, by sinking USA 3-2. It is now the only country to have three Confederation Cup trophies.
Cheered on by a crowd of more than 50,000 spectators at the Ellis Park Stadium Johannesburg, South Africa, the game gripped even home viewers as the two football giants battled it out.
First to score was Clint Dempsey (US), sliding the ball into the far left corner of the net in the 10th minute.
Brazil retaliated but efforts were not as coordinated. Another US forward, Landon Donavon kicked off a fast counter-attack in the 27th minute, bringing the score to 2-0 before the break.

One minute into the second half, Luis Fabiano (Brazil) got the pass from Maicon and shot the ball straight past US goal-keeper Tim Howard.
With higher more positive morale, Brazil equalized the score when Luis Fabiano caught the ball when it bounced off the crossbars.
Six minutes to the end, centre-back Lucio’s header from Elano’s corner sailed into the net, bringing a perfect finish to Brazil’s game.

Dawn Harper (R) goes on to win the 100m hurdles Beijing Olympics
Dawn Harper was born in 1984 and graduated just recently from UCLA with a degree in Psychology. She also won the 2008 Beijing Olympics 100 m hurdle. She is a champion. She first made it to the Olympics Trials to qualify for the Beijing Olympics with a time of 12.62 second, coming in third after Lolo Jones and Damu Cherry.
At the Olympics, she was not the one favoured to win, Lolo Jones was. However, Lolo stumbled on one of the hurdles and lost momentum. Meanwhile, Dawn sprinted to a great finish, claiming her first gold.
Only weeks before, Dawn was struggling as the trials approached. She had been through knee surgery in February and doctors weren’t certain she’d be mended in time for the trials. A piece of her left kneecap had chipped off, wedging into a weird spot that made it extremely painful to bend her knee.
“Hurdling was impossible,” Harper said.
Soon after making it back to the track - much more quickly than doctors anticipated - Harper finished near the back of the pack at an Adidas meet a month before the trials. She was heartbroken.
Sitting in the stands after the race, Harper started crying. She had disappointed everyone who was supporting and helping her. But she persevered and went on to win the Gold medal at the 100m women’s hurdles, Beijing Olympics.
